Spain welcomed 9.746 million international tourists in June 2026, a year-on-year increase of 2.9% and a new record for the month. The UK remained the largest source market, with nearly 2.3 million visitors, up 6.8%. In contrast, arrivals from Germany fell by 5.9% to 1.2 million, while those from France declined by 1.7% to 1.0 million.

The number of tourists opting for market-based accommodation as their main lodging slipped by 0.6%. Within this segment, hotel stays decreased by 1.7%, whereas demand for rental accommodation rose by 10.1%. At the same time, the use of non-market accommodation—such as stays with friends or relatives and in privately owned properties—surged by 26.8%.

In the first half of 2026, Spain received approximately 46.6 million international tourists, 4.6% more than in the same period a year earlier. The UK remained the leading source market, with more than 9.3 million visitors (+4.3%), followed by Germany with 5.7 million (−1.1%) and France with over 5.6 million (+1.0%).
