Poland’s retail sales growth moderated in July 2026, with the year-on-year increase slowing to 5.3%, down from 6.8% in June 2026. The latest figures, updated on 24 August 2026, indicate a loss of momentum in consumer spending compared with the previous month.
Both the current and previous readings are measured on a year-over-year basis, comparing each month’s performance to the same month a year earlier. While retail activity continues to expand, the deceleration from June to July suggests that the pace of consumer-driven growth in Poland’s economy may be easing as the third quarter begins.
