Frankfurt's DAX 40 rose 0.4% to around 25,460 on Friday, snapping a two-session losing streak despite persistent worries about inflation, the prospect of further interest rate hikes, and ongoing geopolitical tensions. A modest pullback in oil prices offered some relief to energy-intensive industrial companies, even though crude remains relatively expensive. Aerospace and defense stocks, along with insurers, posted solid gains. Siemens Energy led the index, climbing 1.8%, followed by GEA Group, Airbus, Siemens, Münchener Rück, and MTU Aero Engines, each advancing more than 1%.
