Speculative positioning in the Mexican peso strengthened slightly, according to the latest data on CFTC MXN speculative net positions released on 11 September 2026. The net long stance in the peso rose to 94.7K contracts, up from the previous reading of 93.2K.
The increase signals that traders remain broadly optimistic on the Mexican currency, with net long positions ticking higher rather than unwinding. While the move is modest, it underscores continued confidence in the peso’s outlook among speculative investors, as reflected in the incremental build-up of bullish exposure.
