Euro zone construction activity leveled off in July 2026, with output registering 0.00% month-over-month, according to data updated on 18 September 2026. The flat reading marks a notable improvement from June 2026, when construction output fell by 1.34% compared with May.
The latest figures indicate that the sector has at least paused its recent downturn. While July’s zero growth does not signal a rebound, it suggests that the sharp contraction seen in June has not continued into the new month. On a month-over-month basis, the comparison shows stabilization rather than further weakness, offering a tentative sign that construction activity in the euro area may be finding a floor after earlier declines.
