Speculative positioning in the Brazilian real eased in the latest reporting period, according to data updated on 25 September 2026. The CFTC BRL speculative net positions indicator slipped to 54.2K, down from the previous reading of 58.0K.
The decline suggests that market participants have modestly reduced their net exposure to the Brazilian currency, potentially reflecting a more cautious stance toward Brazil’s near-term economic or financial outlook.
