Spain welcomed approximately 12.3 million international visitors in August 2026, a 9.2% increase compared with August 2025 and a new record for that month. The United Kingdom remained the leading source market, with more than 2.4 million tourists, up 9.3% year-on-year. France ranked second, sending nearly 2.1 million visitors, a rise of 2.1%, followed by Germany with almost 1.4 million tourists, an increase of 4.5%. Over the first eight months of 2026, the number of tourists visiting Spain grew by 5.4%, reaching almost 70.4 million.
