The US dollar edged lower against the European major currencies in late Asian trading on Thursday.
At present, the greenback is quoted at 1.0557 against the Swiss franc and 1.3015 against the euro, down from yesterday's closing quotes of 1.0569 and 1.2996, respectively.
The greenback also drifted lower to 1.5624 against the pound around 11:55 pm ET from yesterday's close of 1.5601. The cable is presently quoted at 1.5623.
