Polish industrial output increased at a slower pace in July, a report by the Central Statistical Office showed on Wednesday.

Industrial production increased 10.3% year-on-year in July, but slower than a 14.3% growth in the previous month, which was revised from 14.5% rise reported initially. Economists had expected an increase of 12.1%.

Manufacturing output increased 10.9% annually in July, slower than a revised 15.5% growth in the previous month. At the same time, mining and quarrying output rose to 8.5% from a revised 6%. Production in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply grew 4.6%.

On a monthly basis, industrial production slipped 6.1% in July, compared to a 6.8% rise in June, which was revised from 7% rise estimated initially. Manufacturing output dropped 6.7% and mining and quarrying output rose 3.3%. For the first seven months of the year, production increased 10.4% compared to the same period of the previous year.

Meanwhile, the construction output grew 0.8% on an annual basis in July, slower than a 9.6% rise in the previous month. Month-on-month, the construction output fell 3% in July, after rising 24.5% in June. In the January to July period, the construction output slipped 5.7% over a year ago.
