The euro that climbed to a 5-day high of 0.8238 against the pound and a 2-day high of 1.2727 against the US dollar around 4:10 am ET Wednesday reversed its direction shortly. At present, the common currency is quoted at 0.8188 against the pound and 1.2619 versus the greenback.
