Slovenia's industrial turnover and new orders increased at a slower pace in July from the previous year.

Industrial turnover grew 11.1% on an annual basis in July, slower than a 11.5% growth in the previous month, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia said on Monday. Domestic turnover grew 3.1% and non-domestic turnover climbed 14.9%. At the same time, turnover in manufacturing industry increased 11.2%, while mining and quarrying turnover grew 3.9%.

Turnover in intermediate goods industry rose 14.6% annually in July, while turnover in capital goods industry grew 13.5% and consumer goods industry increased 5.6%.

On a monthly basis, industrial turnover dropped 2.3% in July, compared to a 1.9% rise in the previous month. Turnover in the domestic market fell 1.1% and in the non-domestic market slipped 1.6%. For the first seven months of the year, industrial turnover climbed 9.1% compared to the same period of the previous year.

Meanwhile, industrial new orders increased 13.9% on an annual basis in July, slower than a 21.3% growth in the previous month. At the same time, domestic new orders fell 5.9% and non-domestic new orders climbed 18.7%. Month-on-month, new orders dropped 4.1%, after rising 2.7% in June. In the January to July period, industrial new orders climbed 19% over a year ago.
