Factory Purchasing Managers' survey data from euro area and other major European economies are due on Friday.

At 3.00 am ET, PMI reports are due from Hungary, Norway and Poland. In the meantime, the Czech Statistical Office releases GDP data. The economy is expected to grow 2.3 percent sequentially in the second quarter.

At 3.15 am ET, the Federal Statistical Office publishes Swiss retail sales data for July. Sales had advanced 1.5 percent on year in June.

Also, Spain's factory PMI is due. The indicator is seen at 54.4 in August versus 54 in July.

At 3.30 am ET, PMI reports are due from the Czech Republic and Switzerland.

At 3.45 am ET, IHS Markit publishes Italy's manufacturing PMI data. Economists expect the index to improve to 55.3 in August from 55.1 in July.

Thereafter, final PMI survey results are due from France and Germany.

At 4.00 am ET, IHS Markit releases euro area final PMI data. The index reading is forecast to match the flash score of 57.4 in August.

Italy's final GDP data is also due at 4.00 am ET. According to initial estimate, the economy expanded 0.4 percent sequentially in the second quarter.

At 4.30 am ET, UK's manufacturing PMI data is due. The factory PMI is seen at 55.0 in August, down from 55.1 in July.
