Turkey's retail sales declined for the first time in six months in July, the Turkish Statistical Institute showed Tuesday.
Retail sales dropped a seasonally and calendar-adjusted 1.3 percent month-over-month in July, reversing a 0.3 percent rise in June.
Sales of food, drinks and tobacco products fell 1.8 percent monthly in July and those of non-food products, except automotive fuel slid by 2.3 percent.
On a yearly basis, retail sales grew at a faster rate of 2.6 percent in July, following a 0.9 percent increase in the prior month.
