Singapore producer prices continued to fall in February, figures from the Department of Statistics showed Thursday.

The manufactured products prices dropped 0.8 percent year-on-year in February but slower than the 1.9 percent decrease in January.

The oil index climbed 6.5 percent, while the non-oil index declined 2.2 percent in February.

Month-on-month, the manufactured products price index rose 0.6 percent in contrast to the 0.6 percent decrease in January.

Another report from the statistical office showed that import prices remained unchanged on a yearly basis in February, following the 0.2 percent decrease in January. The oil index climbed 5.8 percent, while the non-oil index slid 1.7 percent.

On a monthly basis, import prices declined 0.4 percent, reversing January's 0.6 percent increase.
