At 5.00 am ET Monday, Eurostat releases euro area unemployment data for May. The jobless rate is expected to remain unchanged at 8.5 percent.
Ahead of the data, the euro traded mixed against its major counterparts. While the euro rose against the pound, it dropped against the rest of major rivals.
The euro was worth 129.07 against the yen, 1.1644 against the greenback, 1.1543 against the franc and 0.8841 against the pound as of 4:55 am ET.
