Real services revenue in Brazil, which refers to the evolution of the volume of activity in the sector in real terms, discounting inflation, fell 3.8% in May compared to April - the largest monthly decline in the historical series for the period, said the country's statistics office.

Compared to a year earlier, the drop was also 3.8%, the sharpest since April 2017. Through May, real services revenue in Brazil accumulates falls of 1.3% since January and 1.6% in 12 months.

The negative result was strongly influenced by the truckers' strike in May.
