Public sector finance data from the UK is due on Friday, headlining a light day for the European economic news.

At 2.00 am ET, Destatis is scheduled to issue Germany's producer price figures. Economists forecast producer prices to rise 3 percent annually in June, faster than May's 2.7 percent increase.

At 3.00 am ET, Hungary's average gross wage data is due. Gross wages are forecast to grow 11.2 percent on year in May after advancing 12.6 percent in April.

At 4.00 am ET, the European Central Bank is slated to publish euro area current account data for May. The surplus totaled seasonally adjusted EUR 28.4 billion in April.

At 4.30 am ET, UK public sector finance data is due from the Office for National Statistics. The budget deficit is seen unchanged at GBP 5 billion in June.
