The total volume of credit operations in Brazil's financial system rose 0.7% in June over May, totaling R$ 3.13 trillion, according to Central Bank data.
The volume of credit in June was equivalent to 46.8% of Gross Domestic Product (GDP), up 0.1% over May.
Loans to individuals totaled R$ 1.694 trillion, up 0.4% on a monthly basis. Operations for companies totaled R$ 1.436 trillion, up 1.2% from May to June.
