Canada building permits for June are scheduled for release at 8:30 am ET Wednesday. Ahead of the data, the loonie traded mixed against its major rivals. While the loonie rose against the aussie and the euro, it held steady against the greenback and the yen.
The loonie was worth 84.96 against the yen, 0.9681 against the aussie, 1.5149 against the euro and 1.3077 against the greenback as of 8:25 am ET.
