U.S. NAHB Housing Market Index for October will be issued at 10.00 am ET Tuesday. The consensus is for 67, unchanged from September.
Ahead of the data, the greenback traded mixed against its major rivals. While the greenback declined against the franc, the euro and the pound, it held steady against the yen.
The greenback was worth 1.3216 against the pound, 1.1598 against the euro, 0.9888 against the franc and 112.12 against the yen as of 9:55 am ET.
