Canada retail sales for April will be released at 8:30 am ET Friday. Ahead of the data, the loonie traded mixed against its major rivals. While the loonie dropped against the greenback and the euro, it held steady against the yen. Against the aussie, it rose.
The loonie was worth 1.3192 against the greenback, 81.45 against the yen, 1.4930 against the euro and 0.9113 against the aussie as of 8:25 am ET.
