At 4.30 am ET Tuesday, the Office for National Statistics is slated to issue the UK monthly GDP, industrial production and foreign trade data. GDP is forecast to remain flat on month in October, following a 0.1 percent drop in September.

Ahead of the data, the pound recovered from its early lows against its major counterparts.

The pound was worth 142.87 against the yen, 1.2984 against the franc, 1.3159 against the greenback and 0.8416 against the euro at 4:25 am ET.
