At 8.30 am ET Thursday, U.S. GDP data for the fourth quarter and weekly jobless claims for the week ended March 21 are due.
Ahead of the data, the greenback dropped against its major counterparts.
The greenback was worth 1.0940 against the euro, 109.75 against the yen, 0.9711 against the franc and 1.1960 against the pound at 8:25 am ET.
