Poland's average gross wages grew in July, data from Statistics Poland showed on Wednesday.
Average gross wages and salaries increased 3.8 percent year-on-year in July. Economists had forecast a rise of 2.9 percent.
On a monthly basis, average gross wages rose 1.8 percent in July.
Average paid employment declined 3.3 percent annually in July and rose 0.2 percent from the previous month. Economists had forecast a 3.1 percent fall.
In July, restoring pre-pandemic full-time jobs, returning of employees from care benefits, sickness benefits and unpaid leaves and resuming admissions was observed, the agency said.
During the January to July period, average gross wages and salaries increased 4.4 percent. Average paid employment fell 0.8 percent.
