Canada retail sales for June are due from Statistics Canada at 8:30 am ET Friday. Ahead of the data, the loonie traded mixed against its major counterparts. While the loonie rose against the aussie and the euro, it held steady against the yen and the greenback.
The loonie was worth 1.5566 against the euro, 80.02 against the yen, 0.9474 against the aussie and 1.3223 against the greenback at 8:25 am ET.
