Software company Red Hat shares on Thursday jumped nearly 4 percent after its earnings beat expectations.
The Linux software developer reported earnings per share of 55 cents on revenue of $600 million after the Wednesday's close. That beat expectations of 54 cents and $590 million.
Red Hat also raised its full-year guidance given increased demand for software and cloud services.
