A Bank of Japan document highlighted its inhibitions that certain banks may be getting too much risk to remain lucrative while the capability of other institutions to lend could decrease in the light of negative interest rates.
The central bank's semi-annual financial paper indicates bank companies are less able to counterbalance slumping profitability of local lending, saying the areas which had backed profits including commissions and higher rates have started to degenerate.
The report recognized the need to evaluate both the threats of eventual pullback in financial intervention as profits continue to drop and overheating.
This year, bank stocks are the least performers in Japanese markets as the BOJ, endeavoring to avert deflation, begun charging them for depositing a portion of their funds.
The central bank also pointed out that massive risk taking is caused by lower revenues from loans and securities investments, attributing it to negative and low rates.
