The June reading signals a continuation of gradual sentiment strengthening after May’s level, as consumers in Belgium appear slightly more optimistic than in the previous month. The figures, updated on 11 June 2026, reflect the comparison of June’s index to May, while the May value itself represented a comparison with April.

Although the index remains below the 50-point threshold that typically separates pessimism from optimism, the uptick suggests a cautious improvement in Belgian households’ views on economic conditions and personal finances as mid-2026 progresses.
