The U.S. Labor Department will release the unemployment rate report for July at 8:30 am ET, today. The US dollar showed mixed performance against major rivals ahead of the release of report in New York morning trading on Friday.
At present, the greenback is trading near 1.5874 against the British pound, 1.3176 versus the euro, 1.0499 versus the Swiss franc, 85.93 against the Japanese yen.
