After edging up in early morning session, the New Zealand dollar reversed its direction against most major currencies during New York mid-day trading on Wednesday.

The kiwi that climbed to a 1-week high of 0.7196 against the US dollar at about 8:45 am ET, traded lower in today's mid-day deals. As of now, the kiwi is trading near 0.7160 versus the greenback, compared to yesterday's close of 0.7124.

After hitting new multi-day highs of 1.7938 against the euro and 64.41 versus the Japanese yen at about 8:15 am ET, the NZ currency reversed its direction thereafter. At present, the kiwi is trading at 61.13 against the yen and 1.7994 versus the euro, which may be compared to yesterday's closing values of 60.94 and 1.8107, respectively.
