The Japanese yen that plunged to a 3-day low of 85.93 against the US dollar and a 9-day low of 83.55 against the Canadian dollar in Asian deals on Thursday recouped its losses during early European session.
As of 5:44 am ET, the yen traded at 85.56 against the US dollar and 83.14 against the Canadian dollar. If the yen moves further higher, it may likely target 85.2 against the greenback and 81.6 against the loonie.
