The Canadian dollar lost ground against its major rivals in early New York trading on Thursday.
The loonie depreciated 1.2 percent to reach a 2-day low of 1.3319 against the euro around 9:05 am ET from a 1-month high of 1.3159 hit earlier in the Asian session.
On the downside, 1.3380 is seen as the next likely support level for the Canadian currency.
Against the yen, the Canadian dollar dropped to a 2-day low of 82.52 around 8:45 am ET, down from a 9-day high of 83.56 hit in the previous session.
The loonie-yen pair is presently worth 82.71 with 82.30 seen as the next likely support level.
