2010.08.1921:50:00UTC+00Yen Jumps To 7-week High Against Euro, 2-day High Against Pound

During early Asian trading on Friday, the Japanese yen gained ground against the currencies of the U.K. and Europe. As of 8:00 pm ET, the yen jumped to a 7-week high of 109.04 against the euro and a 2-day high of 132.65 against the pound and this may be compared to Thursday's North American closing quotes of 109.51 and 133.25, respectively. On the upside, the yen may find resistance levels at 108.70 against the euro and 131.0 versus the pound.
