French manufacturers expect investment to rebound this year after easing in 2009, a survey from the statistical office Insee showed Friday.
The business leaders in the manufacturing industry expect their investment to rise 5% in 2010 compared to 2009. Business managers said their investment dropped by 21% in 2009.
The sectors like of electrical, electronic equipment and machine equipment and other manufacturing showed notable improvement. By contrast, in the manufacture of food products and beverages, investment would go on decreasing by 3% in 2010, the survey revealed.
Business leaders said that their investment increased in the first half of 2010 over the second half of 2009, contrary to what they had anticipated last January.
