Croatia's industrial output growth continued to decline for the fifth month in July, official data showed Friday.

Production fell a working day-adjusted 1.8% year-on-year in July, slower than the 3.9% fall in June, the Central Bureau of Statistics said. Production of intermediate goods dropped 6.2% annually.

Energy output, however, climbed 9% annually and production of capital goods fell 9.2%. Production of consumer durables recorded a steep decline of 10% year-on-year while that of non-durable goods rose 2%.

Month-on-month, production rose 3.6% on a seasonally adjusted basis compared to 2.6% fall in June. Output of intermediate goods rose 0.7% on a monthly basis and energy output rose 0.4%. Production of capital and consumer non-durable goods recorded monthly increases, while output of consumer durable posted a drop.
