The industrial turnover index in Cyprus increased in May from the previous month, the statistical office said on Friday.
The industrial turnover increased 5.6% on an annual basis in May, compared to a 3.2% fall in the previous month. The turnover index climbed 20.5% in March.
Manufacturing turnover remained unchanged on an annual basis in May, after falling 9.9% in April. At the same time, mining and quarrying turnover grew 7.1% and turnover in electricity supply climbed 43.6%.
For the January to May period, industrial turnover increased 2.7% compared to the same period of the previous year.
