The results of the Institute for Supply Management-Chicago's business survey for August will be released at 9.45 AM ET. Economists expect the business barometer index based on the survey to come in at 57.5 for the month.
The US dollar held steady against its major rivals ahead of the data. At present, the greenback is quoted at 1.5384 against the pound, 1.2718 versus the euro, 1.0174 against the Swiss franc and 84.34 against the yen.
