The Conference Board will release its consumer confidence report for August at 10.00 AM ET. Economists expect the report to show that consumer confidence index fell to 50.0 in August from 50.4 in July.
The US dollar held steady against its major opponents ahead of the data. Currently, the greenback is quoted at 1.54 against the pound, 1.2731 versus the euro, 1.0171 against the Swiss franc and 84.41 against the yen.
