Against the U.S. currency, the Taiwan dollar surged up to near a 5-week high of 31.780 during early Asian session on Monday. At present, the pair is worth 31.79, compared to Friday's closing value of 31.8520. If the Taiwan dollar gains further, it may likely target the 31.66 level.
