The Chinese yuan that jumped to a 17-day high of 6.7574 against the U.S. dollar in early Monday Asian deals at 9:35 pm ET eased thereafter. Currently, the yuan is worth 6.7670 per dollar.
The People's Bank of China has set today's central parity rate for the dollar-yuan pair at 6.7509.
