The British pound eased from early upward trading against major opponents during late European deals on Monday. The pound that hit a high of 0.8276 by about 4:15 am ET versus the euro, edged down thereafter and slipped to a new multi-day low of 0.8312 as of 6:15 am ET.
Currently, the sterling is worth 1.5415 against the U.S. dollar, 1.5636 versus the Swiss franc and 129.56 against the yen from early highs of 1.5746, 1.5490 and 130.15, respectively.
