Croatia's retail sales increased in July from the previous year.

The retail trade turnover in real terms increased 0.7% on an annual basis in July, compared to a 1.5% fall in the previous month, a report by the Central Bureau of Statistics showed on Monday. On a monthly basis, retail sales increased 16.8% in July. For the first seven months of the year, retail sales dropped 4.3% compared to the same period of the previous year.

In nominal terms, retail sales grew 1% year-on-year in July, compared to a 1.7% fall in the previous month. Retail sales climbed 15.7% compared to the preceding month. In the January to July period, sales decreased 4% over a year ago.
