Japan is scheduled to release final July figures for industrial production and capacity utilization, highlighting an otherwise light day for Asian economic activity.
Little change is expected from the preliminary reading that came out last month, showing a 0.3 percent monthly gain and a 14.8 percent annual increase. Capacity utilization was down 2.1 percent on month.
Finally, the Indonesian stock market remains closed for Eid-ul-Fitr. It will re-open on Wednesday.
