News

  • Some of the 85,000 German steelworkers in wage negotiations with employers will begin limited strike action from Wednesday. Union
  • Industrial union IG Metall said the warning strikes were meant to send a message to employers, with whom they are scheduled to meet for a third round of negotiations on Sept. 29.
  • North Rhine-Westphalia IG Metall leader Oliver Burkhard said that warning strikes will make it clear that we are serious about fairness when it comes to pay, temporary staff, trainees and older workers.
