  • Economists in a weekly Cbank survey raised slightly their forecasts for Brazil's benchmark inflation index in 2010 to 5.01pct up from 4.97 pct.
  • For 2011, the IPCA estimates were raised for a second straight week to 4.95 pct from 4.90 pct.
  • The Cbank has a 4.5 pct inflation target for 2010 and 2011, plus or minus 2 percentage points.
