Initial figures from Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs revealed that industrial output in the country performed better than expected in June.
On a yearly basis, industrial production rose 3.14 percent, up from the previous month's 0.85 percent and above economists' forecasts for a 1.45 percent increase.
Manufacturing output rose an annual 3.6 percent in June, while mining and quarrying production climbed 3.2 percent.
From 2.0 percent gain in May, industrial production rose a seasonally adjusted 2.4 percent monthly in June.
