The pound came off from its previous highs against the other major currencies in early European deals on Wednesday.

The pound pared gains to 1.4642 against the greenback and 152.85 against the yen, from its previous highs of 1.4715 and 153.91,respectively.

The pound edged down to 1.4058 against the franc and 0.7701 against the euro, off its early highs of 1.4140 and 0.7656, respectively.

The pound is likely to find support around 0.785 against the euro, 1.39 against the franc, 152.00 against the yen and 1.44 against the greenback.
