Belgium's consumer confidence eased for a second straight month in December to its lowest level in four months, survey data from the National Bank of Belgium showed Monday.
The consumer confidence index fell to 2 from 3 in November.
The decline in the indicator was mainly due to a deterioration in consumers' outlook for unemployment, which had been following a highly optimistic trend since July, the bank said.
Moreover, they are taking a little less positive view of future general economic developments too, the bank added.
