Tuesday, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia announced that the consumer confidence indicator declined a seasonally adjusted 16 percentage points in December. The decrease was mainly due to more pessimistic estimation of the unemployment in the country over the next twelve months.
The economic sentiment indicator declined 7 percentage points in December. This was mainly due to the fall in confidence in manufacturing and service sectors.
Meanwhile, the manufacturing confidence indicator fell 4 percentage points in December. At the same time, the retail trade confidence indictor dropped 5 percentage points.
