In August 2025, Indonesia experienced a decline in consumer confidence, which fell to 117.2 from July's 118.1 – the peak since April. This was the lowest rating recorded since September 2022, with a downturn in five out of six sub-indices. The economic outlook dropped by 0.4 points to 129.2; overall job availability decreased by 2.2 points to 122.8; job availability compared to six months prior fell by 2.1 points to 93.2; perceptions of current economic conditions slipped by 1.5 points to 105.1; and current income levels dipped by 0.9 points to 116.9. However, there was a positive note as income expectations for the next six months increased slightly by 0.3 points to reach 136.7.
